It all started with a dream & a passion for food…

Supermarket baguette snacking: the ultimate throwback! I think that fresh bread was the trick to get me to be patient at the supermarket.
I still remember vividly the smell and the flavor!
Watching Aunt Ghinwa bake was fun, but eating the leftover Betty Crocker mix was the real treat!


First time allowed to use the stove in 2007!
Celebrating my cousin Aboudi’s birth by making Meghle* with my siblings.
*a traditional Lebanese dessert made upon the birth of a baby.
Turning 14 was extra special with a Chef Robe that I asked for from my mom.
She later engraved ‘Chef Marwa’ in pink on it!
I still wear it proudly till today.



Saj* nights during Ramadan, making it at 2 am for family and neighbors.
*a traditional kind of dough baked on a metal round shaped dome and topped traditionally with Zaatar spice and Cheese!
During my freshman year of high school, I created a presentation about cheesecake. I included a cooking tutorial video demonstrating how to make cheesecake, followed by sharing the finished cheesecake with my classmates.

Honoring my food background in 2024 during a food cultural event I planned. In this picture, I was making the beef and peas rice with caramelized onions.
In April 2024, I was selected to compete in the “Future of Food Competition” by Johnson and Wales University in Partnership with Rational Ovens where I won first place in the Culinary Category which granted me a full tuition scholarship to come study Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI.

In August 2025, I officially started my Culinary Arts Education at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI.
In October 2025, I participated in an event “Flavors of the World” at Johnson and Wales University where I made a traditional Lebanese Chicken Sandwich called “Shish Tawouk” and I had a live station at the dining hall. It was so beautiful.
